The Perfect Cup

This is a project I really enjoyed.  I like tea.   When I had an assignment for an Editorial, I thought that it would be fun to make it about something I already enjoy.  Here are the photographs as if in a magazine layout.

The perfect cup of tea to me is in a bone china cup and usually without any add-ins.  I like to have my tea with a little something, like a scone, or a muffin.

What is your perfect cup of tea?

  1. For me, the perfect cup of tea has to be strong black tea with milk and no sugar. I love Assam for its full-bodied taste but I also love Lapsang Souchong, a smoky flavored tea and Earl Grey with Lavender.

  2. Asking a Chef and Certified Tea Master to describe his favorite tea is like asking what is your favorite food? or your favorite wine? or favorite flower? The one that is front of you...right now. I enjoy a bracing, strong cup of Japanese matcha first thing in the morning...massive amounts of caffeine and lots of anti-oxidants; then later, I enjoy Japanese sencha, followed by some genmatcha with toasted rice.

  3. My favorite cup of tea is usually whatever is served to me by Peter Cook. But I generally like black, plain or spiced, not over-steeped, but strong. I am not a fan of most green tea unless it is blended with an herb or two. I love ginger in almost anything. And I miss my Jess with whom I could easily enjoy any tea at all!

  4. The perfect cup of tea for me is the one I am drinking at that particular moment. Since I drink a variety of many cups of tea daily, I find whether it is a white, green, oolong or black tea as long as it is brewed correctly it's the "perfect cup".
